Updates

January 22nd, 2010

Yes I know it’s been a while since I updated I’m sorry. I’ve been working on a new project for a company called ivinex and it’s been taking a lot of time. So when I’m not with my kids I’m working. It’s been crazy.
Here are some photos of my small family…Enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to go out and exercise for quite a while. But as Matt has the car every day and we only had a single jogger it wasn’t possible. So I convinced Matt and we bought a new jogger from BOB. We got the ironman duallie and I love it. Above is Lela the day we got it and after I’d gotten it all put together. We actually went on a walk that night as a family to break it in and it rides so smooth, you’d never know you were pushing around 80 lbs. Thank you BOB for such a great stroller.

My sweet angel got herself all dressed up as a pinchess. You can’t tell but she actually has on 4 different layers under those wings.

I went to get Lela out of her room after her nap and she had dressed bear up in her tutu and was feeding him “phood”.

Isn’t he handsome?

Christmas Present

December 29th, 2009

We got a new camera this year. It was a last second purchase actually. Amazon had a great deal.

One of my favorite things that my parents did for myself and my sisters as children was they bought a video camera when I was 5 to record memories. In fact as I was feeding Korben on Christmas Eve I made Matt go find the oldest video we had and we watched it much to everyones delight. It was from Christmas 1987. Amber had the cutest lisp as a 6 year old exclaiming that she got dolerz for Christmas in her Stocking. I was an incredibly cute 5 year old who you could hardly hear on the camera for being shy. Angie and Alayna weren’t here yet so they demanded that we watch a later year. So in went 1991. Angie was a cute almost 2 year old, Alayna was an adorable newborn and I got a lot of Ninja Turtle gear during birthdays and christmas along with some incredible dancing by both Amber and I in our yearly Christmas Concert with The Dance Club.

It was a lot of fun looking back, we’ll definitely have to get them converted to DVD before they get destroyed.

Before Lela was born I demanded that we buy a camcorder. I wanted our kids to have the same access to memories as I do. So we sent to Best Buy and bought a $400 dollar camcorder. It’s a good one that records to mini-dvd’s. Unfortunately it didn’t occur to us at the time but Macs don’t accept mini-dvd’s. Oops. So all we have recorded so far is Lela’s first day here on earth and parts of our Cruise in 2007. Since then it’s just sat there unused. Sad…

So on the 22nd when Matt found the Flip HD camera 8g on Amazon for only $150 we decided to splurge and buy it. I haven’t regreted it at all. It’s a wonderful little thing and very easy to do. Here is one of the first things we recorded as we played with it to figure out how it works.

Christmas Eve

December 29th, 2009

Here are our stockings full on Christmas Eve after Santa had come. Full to the brim! We were good this year…

Yes, Those stockings are 100% homemade. As this was our first Christmas at home we haven’t had any stockings yet, and I’ve always wanted personalized ones so I made them. The names our cut out of fabric and then sewn on. It was fun to make and I purposefully made them all different so that when more kids come along it won’t matter what colors or fabric I’ll use they’ll all go together. I love it!

This is also the view of our Christmas tree and the presents Santa left wrapped under the tree. Next it was off to bed to listen to Matt toss and turn cause he’s soooooo excited for Christmas to come and for me to open my presents. I love my husband, and I love the magic of Christmas.
